What Lies Beneath

For this film studies course i will be studying the Equdas GCSE Film Studies specification. I will sit two exams, one called Component 1 and the other called Component 2. I will also submit one coursework production by December time next year. Component 1 is 90 minutes long and is worth 35% of my GCSE. This component will be all about Key developments in US film. Component 2 is about Narrative, Representation And Film Style. This component is also worth 35% of my GCSE and again is a 90 minutes long in length. Component 3 is my coursework, this is worth 30% of my grade and it requires me to do independent work on production.

Both exams will assess my knowledge of the 6 films I will study throughout the course. Component 1a will be on US Film and i will watch and study the movies; Invasion of The Bodysnatchers and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Component 1c is about US independent Film and i will watch the LadyBug. Component 2a is about global English Language Film Produced Outside US and i will watch Slumdog Millionare. Component 2b is about global Non-English Language Film and i will watch the wave. Component 2c will cover Contemporary UK Film and for that i will watch the study Submarine. Component 1 will also cover and asses knowledge of Film history, this will be in component 1b which is key developments in Film and Film Technology.
